MeasureUp Ideal Value Set – July 2025 Edition

Posted: July 29, 2025

We’re excited to share that the MeasureUp Ideal Value Set has officially been published.

The Ideal Value Set can be viewed as a PDF below:

This marks a significant milestone in our journey toward building a transparent, credible, and stakeholder-focused valuation framework for measuring, valuing, and reporting on our social value.

The Ideal Value Set is a structured list of activities and outcomes – aligned with the UK’s wellbeing dimensions as defined by the ONS – that we are actively researching, developing, and integrating into the MeasureUp framework. It includes all values currently published, as well as those in our development pipeline.

Our goal is to expand both the breadth (number of outcomes valued) and depth (accuracy and nuance of value estimation) of social value reporting. This means capturing a wider range of what really matters to people, across wellbeing, environment, education, community, work, and more.

The July 2025 edition includes published values across wellbeing categories such as:

It also outlines the next wave of values under development—from biodiversity to digital access, income inequality to workplace mental health—highlighting where the field is growing and where we invite further collaboration.

This work is the result of collaboration with:

We’re grateful to the many partners and contributors who are helping shape this framework, and we’re always open to more. If there’s a value that matters to your work but isn’t yet included, or if you want to get involved in shaping the next development cycle, we want to hear from you. Email us at hello@measure-up.org

This is just the beginning. We will continue to expand, refine, and co-create this value set in the coming months and years (read our full two-year plan here). Our strategy is to make high-quality valuation accessible, practical, and evidence-based, so that everyone delivering social good has the tools they need to prove their impact, and then continue to improve it!
